Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Joe Ludwig is today attending Victoria’s premier agricultural event, the Royal Melbourne Show.
"This is a perfect opportunity for me to get out and meet the people at the centre of agriculture in Victoria," Minister Ludwig said.
“Australia’s agricultural shows demonstrate the finest and best of agricultural produce that this country has to offer."
“Now in its 155th year, the traditions of Australian rural life and the expertise, knowledge, innovation and creativity of our people are on display in Melbourne today."
“It is a pleasure to be able to attend as the Minister for Agriculture and to be part of the thriving community of the show.”
Minister Ludwig will today spend some time talking to agricultural industry representatives, including the President of the Victorian Farmers Federation, Andrew Broad.
“Working closely with industry experts, farmers and landowners - the people who make our agricultural industries great, is a vital part of my job." Minister Ludwig said.
“I intend to work in partnership with them to ensure the future prosperity for the sector and for our country.”
